What stuff will my child need on Day 1?
You will receive a letter from your child’s teacher prior to the start of school (usually in August) indicating what supplies the school provides and those supplies each family must provide.
How can I get in touch with my teacher?
You can either e-mail your teacher (addresses are listed on the website “Faculty” page) or send a note in your child’s folder.
What do I do if I have a question about my child’s homework?
Prior to the start of the school year, please ask your child’s teacher what is the best way to get in touch with them if you have a question about your child’s homework. All faculty e-mails are listed on the SMS website faculty page. This is the easiest way to communicate with the teachers. However, your child’s teacher may offer another way to communicate; just ask.
Does St. Michael have a “Peanut Butter” policy?
No. However, each class establishes “food” policies based on the students’ needs, either due to allergies or dietary preferences. Please speak with your child’s teacher and notify her/him regarding any special “food” requests.
Can I come to school anytime?
You are welcome at school. . . our success is based on parent involvement! There are two scheduled Open Houses during the school year. Some teachers may have organized programs during the Open House. However, please first stop by the School Secretary’s office to sign the Visitor Log.
Who do I speak to if I have a concern or question?
We’re a community. . . if you have a concern or question, please speak either with your child’s teacher or the Principal.
