St. Michael School is embarking on a major renovation project at our home in the former West Broad Street School.
The project includes:
- NEW LIBRARY: This will entail renovating the kitchen space in the basement into a new library. This will more than double the square footage of the school’s library.
- A SECOND PRE-KINDERGARTEN CLASSROOM: By moving the library to the basement, we will free up space on the first floor to create an additional Pre-K classroom. With consistent waitlists in recent years, adding a second classroom will enable us to better meet demand and offer separate Pre-K programs for 3 year olds and 4 year olds.
- UPGRADED SCHOOL BATHROOMS: This will include renovating student and teacher bathrooms on the second floor, additional bathrooms for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten on the first floor, and renovating the boys’ and girls’ rooms in the basement.
- ENHANCEMENTS TO BUILDING SECURITY: The project will include enhancements to the building security for greater safety of our students and faculty.
We are excited to announce that a generous benefactor will match all donations and pledges to St. Michael School for this renovation project, up to a total of $500,000!
